Sexual Assault Victim Advocates staff to meet with teachers at Loveland school where instructor arrested By Coloradoan staff • January 27, 2011 Mountain View High School will host a session for its employees with staff from Sexual Assault Victims Advocates on Friday, Thompson School District officials announced today. MVHS students will be released early Friday and school staff will work in small groups with SAVA, the district said in a press release. "It's a session that will be based on helping the staff work through the issues that have been created with this arrest," Thompson School District spokesman Wes Fothergill said. Courtney Bowles, a 31-year-old instructional coach at MVHS, was arrested Jan. 21 on suspicion of sexual assault on a child after Loveland police found her in a car with a 16-year-old boy at North Lake Park that evening. Fothergill said additional counseling services were put in place this week for students who may have concerns about the alleged sexual assault. “Our hope is to increase awareness and understanding about how a situation like this impacts staff and students," said Charlie Elkins, assistant director of Student Support Services for the district in the press release.  Comment: This is interesting as the ones who did the most abuse to my children during my divorce, were Kate McNamara, Lori Lund, Brook Brethauer, from the the recommended list of therapists with DHS . However, we have such stellar employees at DHS in Larimer County they took all the false statements as gospel and repeated it over and over. The ones who caused the most abuse to my children do not hang out on playgrounds at schools, nor were they surfing the internet, they were not coming up to children with enticements of ice cream or candy. No the people that abused my children roamed the halls of the offices of DHS, and the courts of Larimer County. One of the most notable was Randal Lacoco, who decided that payment for his services without doing his job was more important than the truth. The other was Magistrate Joshstad, who decided to ignore the decisions made in  prior rulings by the courts. This list would not be complete without the mention of Elliot Phelps, and Larry Abrahamson. Mr. Phelps investigated my claim to false/fabricated statements by DHS Supervisor Angela Mead and Larimer County Attorney Linda Connors. Both Larry Abrahamson and Elliot Phelps feel that use lies is appropriate in child abuse cases I guess. As statements from both Angela Mead and Linda Connors are still being used in child abuse cases. I guess that shows the integrity of those who are working in the DA's Office. I think it is good to give training to teachers, to bad this training is not being given to DHS, Larimer County Attorneys, and District Attorneys, and Judges. Well maybe someday.

I'm glad to hear that staff will be going through the training!

I'm sad to see that out of 4 posts (now) only one is showing. That's a 75% censorship rate. What could those posters be saying that is pertinent?

Bob says the negative

Bob says the negative comments make people go away. The reason people are going away is Bob is like a mad man with a fly swatter, swatting and deleting everyone for every reason. They have gone overboard a long time ago. No one is left to comment anymore.

Bob's full of malarkey...

Wow! What a bunch of claptrap. That's the nonsense that they portray as justification of the banning. I'd like to see some statistics to back that up. What it does is make for lively discussion and better stories, because the Coloradoan uses some of the comment ideas in the stories. But notice how now less stories are being written by Coloradoan writers, and more are being pulled from Associated Press, etc. Bob has been ordered to turn the Coloradoan into a right wing paper, IMHO. He's a good soldier, and he'll do the best he can at it. A good soldier just uses the machine gun, and doesn't think much about it. I'd sure like to interview the previous editor to get her take on it. Interestingly, a cursory Google didn't bring up her name. Maybe somebody could point me in the right way...
