UNREPORTED BRODERICK HEARING

CatWhisperer's picture

There is a Broderick hearing today at the Larimer County Justice Center, Courtroom 5A, 1:30PM. I personally want to thank the Coloradoan newspaper for reporting on this upcoming hearing and reminding us of it.

A very interesting synchronicity related to the Stacy Lynn case, because if I hadn't been at the court looking for her docket, I wouldn't have seen the name and would not have remembered. How nice to have a hearing just before the holidays when everybody is busy and unable to attend, and the newspaper doesn't feel the need to remind us…

Broderick Hearing not much to write home about

People of the State of Colorado vs. James Broderick, 2011CR001056

One hour marked on the docker, five minutes on the bench. It was such a non-hearing that they could have saved  hundreds of dollars by doing it over the phone, LOL!  People spent more time parking.

A short synopsis of today's hearing events:

  1. Mr. Broderick (JB) arrives at approximately 1:15PM. There is already a crowd of supporters there. One or two seemed familiar, dressed very nicely, one a nice looking mature platinum blond, very well dressed in heels, who gives JB a hug. Very well heeled supporters JB has indeed, no pun intended.
  2. Sitting on the defendant's side, there are so many JB supporters that I move over to the prosecutor's side, which has approximately 8 individuals.
  3. Judge enters, 1:32PM.
  4. Find out from listening to discussions, that arraignment hasn't even occurred yet (see below).
  5. The ADA is going to appeal all dismissals of charges. (Observation note: The lady that the ADA had as assistant or co-ADA caused me to question the reasons for her hiring. "Damn" is the only word that comes to mind. surprise Sorry, I digress…)
  6. The next status conference is February 8, 2011, Courtroom 5C, 1:30PM.
  7. Judge leaves, 1:38PM

Thus goes an "hour" on the docket, whilst courtrooms sit empty and justice oozes along like molasseses on a cold day, like today, not being served. I can easily understand the angst people have about this. He hasn't even been fucking arraigned yet, Jesus Christ! The Courts don't treat regular Americans, you and me, like this, they ramrod your case through, and you would have been arraigned within 30 days, and you wouldn't get full pay, nor spend even three hours in jail. Any American who has been through the system in the Eighth Judicial District knows that what I speak is the TRUTH!

And in Stacy Lynn's case, false shell game justice is served when she gets arrested (what crime?) and ill advised orders are issued to remove children from safe, loving, nurturing environments and place them in unknown environments.
